“You are requested to instruct schools to give the first priority to using Mission Shakti’s services in deploying human resources to clean the watch and department/security of the school campus. The assignment may be done on the basis of the daily minimum wage for 10 to 15 days per month,” the letter states.
Saha stated in the letter that the costs for the deployment of the SHG members can be spent from the available Mo School funds at the schools under HST. The daily labor rate applies, which may also be reviewed by the labor department in the future, he added.
“Schools should also make efforts to mobilize other available resources, including the alumni, to support the process of oversight and oversight of schools through contributions under Mo School Abhiyan’s non-core activities,” the official statement said.
In 2019, the state government had issued detailed guidelines to transfer midday meal programs (MDM) in schools with more than 100 students to female SHGs. Now the SHG members manage the MDM program. SHGs also deliver Chhatua to Anganwadi centers in the state.
