Two pilots killed in MIG-21 crash, Shilpa Shetty offers her condolences | Hindi Movie News

An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 Bison aircraft crashed Thursday evening (July 28) in Barmer, Rajasthan, killing the two pilots aboard the fighter plane. The incident sparked an uproar on social media as many expressed their condolences. Some even question the poor safety record of these MIG-21 aircraft.

Like many others, Shilpa Shetty was also shocked to hear the news and the actress took to her social media handle to offer her heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families of the pilots who died in the crash.

“Extremely saddened to learn of the loss of the two young pilots in the MiG-21 crash. May their families and loved ones find the strength in their hearts to bear such a great loss,” Shilpa wrote on her Instagram stories.

According to the IAF statement, it was a trainer version of the fighter aircraft with two pilots. As it was a training mission, there was one senior pilot, Wing Commander M Rana, and a junior pilot, Flight Lieutenant Adivitya Bal on board.

Shilpa Shetty was last seen in the comedy film ‘Nikamma’, starring Abhimanyu Dasani and Shirley Setia. The film is a remake of the Telugu hit ‘Middle Class Abbayi’.
