TEC-IVRI Pune organizes training program

PUN: TEC, ICAR-IVRIAPune in partnership with Livestock Research Station, Navsari . Agricultural UniversityNavsari (Gujarat) recently organized a one-day training program on “Scientific Practices for Animal Husbandry” in the village of Aankhi in Jambusar taluka.
A Kisan Goshtic and an animal health camp in the village of Kava in Jambusar taluka were also organized under the SCSP program.
Dr Vipul R Patel, Assistant Professor and Principal, Department of Animal NutritionVeterinary College, Kamdhenu University, Navsari spoke in the technical session about animal nutrition aspects and new technologies to improve milk production by using suitable animal feed.
A Kisan Goshti was also organized in the village of Kava. Kisan Goshti’s main point of discussion was to maintain good livestock health for better reproduction. Fifty-six farmers participated in the Kisan Goshti and benefited from the interaction with experts. After that, the experts visited the homes of individual farmers and inspected their livestock and treated various ailments with drugs, as well as distributed anthelmintic and mineral mixtures.
