The Indian women’s cricket team ended its tour of England on a triumphant note when it defeated the hosts 3-0 in the ODI series. There has been a lot of controversy since the last match at Lord’s where India’s Deepti Sharma defeated England’s Charlotte Dean at the end of the non-rush hour. As that debate rages on social media, Indian team member Taniya Bhatia took to Twitter on Monday to inform her followers about someone who stole her bag from her hotel room in London.
“Shocked and disappointed with the management of Marriot Hotel London Maida Vale; someone walked into my personal room and stole my bag containing cash, cards, watches and jewelery during my recent stay as part of the Indian Women’s Cricket team.@MarriottBonvoy. So unsafe,” she tweeted.
2/2 Hoping for a quick investigation and resolution of this matter. Such a lack of security at @ECB_cricket‘s favorite hotel partner is amazing. Hope they take note too.@Marriott @BCCIWomen @BCCI

“In the hope of a speedy investigation and resolution of this matter. Such lack of security at @ECB_cricket‘s favorite hotel partner is amazing. I hope they will take note too,” she added.
The hotel has responded to the cricketer’s tweet and asked for her details.
Hi Taniyaa, we are sorry to hear this. Send us a DM with your name and the email address you used to make the reservation and the exact dates of your stay so we can investigate further. https://t.co/2mhojuKdK1

Taniya was part of the squad, but did not appear in any of the three games in the ODI series. She had played the T20I on September 6.
The wicketkeeper batter represented India in 19 ODIs and 53 T20Is.
