Shanaya Kapoor’s Debut ‘Bedhadak’ To Begin Shooting By Year’s End, Reveals Sanjay Kapoor – Exclusive | Hindi Movie News

Not long ago, there were speculations that Shanaya Kapoor’s debut film ‘Bedhadak’ would have been delayed or delayed. But ETimes has confirmation from Shanaya’s father, actor Sanjay Kapoor, that the project is well on track and will begin filming soon. Speaking to ETimes, Sanjay revealed, “Shanaya will be shooting for the film late this year or early next year.”

‘Bedhadak’ has had its share of troubles ever since it was announced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film was due to hit the shelves in the first quarter of 2021, but the second lockdown forced the makers to postpone the project. The main reason for the rescheduling was the fact that the film would be shot in Bangkok, an international location. Filmmaker Parag Chakravarti was supposed to direct the first time, but was later replaced by Shashank Khaitan due to circumstances. Shashank had also directed Janhvi Kapoor in her launch film ‘Dhadak’.

Another delay occurred when the makers planned to shoot the film in Bangkok at the end of December 2021, but Shanaya was hit by Covid-19. Subsequently, there were reports that the film was being shelved or put on hold. This happened when Shashank Khaitan’s movie ‘Screw Dheela’ starring Tiger Shroff was announced. But all guesses around Bedhadak’s delay were later denied by Karan Johar.

Shanaya’s debut has been a long time coming. The film is slated to feature other newcomers Gurfateh Pirzada and Laksh Lalwani as well.
