Season 3 Trailer, Premiere on Netflix – News Kidda

Jen and Judy survived — and stand behind their latest Netflix accident Dead to me.

The tortuous drama starring Christina Applegate as Jen and Linda Cardellini as Judy is set for season three, which will mark the couple’s final round of shenanigans. The final season of the series from creator Liz Feldman returns on November 17.

Netflix announced the return date as part of its Tudum promotion on Saturday, along with a teaser look at the new season. The third season continues after another cliffhanger in the finale when Jen and Judy have a major car accident after being hit by drunken Ben (James Marsden), who is again at risk of being discovered for the murder of his brother Steve. (also played by Marsden).

The trailer, which summarizes the events of the first and second season, ends with Jen and Judy in the hospital, who have a bit of a curse with the ER nurse. “Fuck me so hard,” Jen (Applegate) says as she lies in the hospital bed with a neck brace.

The series began with a hit and run that killed Jen’s husband and sent Jen to a funeral home where they met and took a rollercoaster of a friendship with Judy. The series became a breakthrough hit after its 2019 debut, earning Applegate an Emmy nomination for best actress. Applegate and Cardellini were also nominated in the category in 2020.

Netflix was renewed shortly after the second season came out in 2020 Dead to me for his last ride.

Feldman, who has a deal with the streamer, will executive produce along with Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell for Gloria Sanchez Productions, Christie Smith, Applegate and Adam McKay. Cardellini serves as co-executive producer. Dead to me is produced by CBS Television Studios for Netflix.
