Two San Francisco 49ers had fun at training camp by showing off their best Stone Cold Steve Austin impressions.
The San Francisco 49ers are currently in a very delicate place as a franchise. They just got through a season where they made it to the NFC Conference Championship game and won road playoffs against the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers to get there.
But despite that success, they’re going through a few organizational changes as they’re about to move away from the quarterback who got them there in Jimmy Garoppolo and switch to the younger Trey Lance, a decision that could backfire. if he doesn’t. not adjusting to being in the NFL that good.
But even though there’s a lot of serious work to be done, given that they still have a good nine days (ten when the footage was released) until their first preseason game, that doesn’t mean players can’t do a little more. fun on the go.
And that’s exactly what offensive linemen Nick Zakelj and Sam Schlueter did when they decided to take on the roles of professional wrestlers during training camp to keep the fans happy.
An astonishing achievement
In a pretty clear violation of the “Don’t Try This At Home” message that WWE and other wrestling promotions put out to keep people from hurting themselves, Zakelj and Schlueter, upon hearing Stone Cold Steve Austin’s entry theme in the background, decided to put on a show for the fans at training camp, with the former giving the latter a ‘Stone Cold Stunner’:

Obviously it was done at a very slow pace so no one would get hurt, and at least it gave the fans something to cheer about.
Perhaps a glimpse into the future?
Zakelj and Schlueter are both rookies in the NFL this season, so they have a long way to go before they can get on an NFL roster, with all of the preseason to survive and the various cuts that will take place to fill the roster. shorten to 53.
However, if they fail in the NFL, then wrestling may be too big a leap for them in terms of their careers as many professional wrestlers started out as American Football players in the past, including Brock Lesnar, The Rock and Roman Reigns. just to name a few.
Let’s hope a copy of this video made its way to WWE HQ, in case they’re looking for new talent.
