Production on Chicago fire was shut down on Wednesday after a shooting near where the NBC series was filming.
The show was filming on the city’s West Side, near the suburban Oak Park border, when a gunman fired several shots from a corner opposite the show’s location, according to the local outlet. CWB Chicago. The shooting happened when Chicago fire’s cast and crew were in the middle of a take; no one involved in the production was injured.
Chicago Police Department is investigating the incident; according to CWB, the shooter fled in a black SUV. Sources tell News Kidda that the show’s security protocols went into effect immediately after shooting and that production was halted for that day.
