India vs Australia: Virat Kohli arrived in Mohali on Saturday.
Indian batter Virat Kohli landed in Mohali on Saturday for India’s first T20I of the three-game series against Australia, which will take place on Tuesday at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium. The PCA shared the video of Kohli’s arrival in the city with some editing, including adding a Punjabi song in the background. The video shows Kohli walking out of the airport with police officers and security personnel around him.

While the first match of the series will be played in Mohali, the second and third T20Is will be played in Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.
India will look for a better performance in the series as they failed to impress in the recently concluded Asian Cup. They started the tournament as favourites, but they lost to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage only to be knocked out of the competition.
For Kohli, however, the tournament proved to be a big boost as the player finished as the second-highest go-getter with 276 runs to his name from 5 matches. He was behind only Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan, who scored 281 in 6 matches. Meanwhile, Kohli had a stunning average of 92.00 in the tournament and his strike rate was 147.59.
What would have given Kohli and his fans much-needed relief was his 71st international century — a ton that came after a nearly three-year hiatus. Kohli scored 122 not out against Afghanistan in the Super 4 stage.
Speaking of Australia, they will be very confident after New Zealand’s clean 3-0 in the ODI series that ended on September 11.
