Player Auction for the IPL 2019 will be held in Jaipur on December 18, 2018 from 3:30 pm IST in Jaipur where the teams will enter with the aim of filling the gaps in their squads. The eight franchises – Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will have the opportunity to purchase the players they deem fit to build their team to maximum strength to be completed from 25.

A total of 350 players have been shortlisted for the IPL 2019 Player Auction from the 1000+ players who signed up for the event. The full list of 351 players consists of 228 Indian players and 123 foreign players from 12 countries. Given the composition of the team after holding and releasing the player, up to 70 players have a chance to be chosen by the franchises, of which up to 20 can be foreign players.

As many as nine foreigners have registered with a base price of INR 200 Lakhs, while Jaydev Unadkat, the most expensive Indian player in the IPL 2018 auction, has maintained a base price of INR 150 Lakhs. It makes him the only Indian with a base price of over INR 100 Lakhs in this auction.

The Delhi franchise changed their name from Delhi Daredevils to Capitals Of Delhi and will also want to effect a change in their fortunes. The defending champions, CSK on the other hand, are expected to spend most of their time watching others in action at the auction table.

IPL 2019 Auction: Team Wallet Size & Available Slots:


The Chennai franchise has INR 840 Lakhs in their wallet but can only buy two players and both must be Indians as they have already reached the maximum limit of 8 foreign players in the squad. The Kings XI Punjab will be the most active member in the auction as they have INR 3620 Lakhs in the bag and want to enter as many as 15 players. The Punjab franchise only kept ten players from the previous edition.
