Pakistan wrote a script ‘Great Escape’on Sunday to tie the 7-match hT20I series against England by winning the 4th T20I by a 3-run margin. After chasing a 167-run goal, England appeared to be in complete control when they needed 9 runs to win 12 balls.

The penultimate over was handed to pacer Haris Rauf, who started with a punt ball and then conceded a boundary that reduced the equation to 5 it took to win 10 balls with 3 wickets in hand for England.

Liam Dawson, who batted at 34, was all set to take England to a 3-1 series lead as Rauf hit two balls twice to bring Pakistan within a wicket of winning the match.

Shan Masood redone the rest in the next when his acrobatic effort led to Reece Topley running out and England succumbing to a loss.

The win sets the Lahore leg of the series off perfectly as one of the teams needs to win 2 of the remaining three matches to win the series, boosting their confidence ahead of next month’s ICC T20 World Cup in Australia .
