WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature for editing sent messages on iPhone. It allows you to remove errors and worse from sent messages.
Do you love the new sent message editing feature on iPhone? If yes, then there is good news for you, not only on iPhones but you can access this feature on Android phones and WhatsApp is reportedly working on the same as well. Meta’s instant messaging app is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow you to edit the text messages sent. This means you don’t have to worry about typos anymore, and worse, no more. The development has been reported by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo. They shared: “The feature is still under development, but thanks to the WhatsApp beta for Android 188.8.131.52 update, we discovered that the company is continuing to work on the feature for a future update of the Android app.”
They also shared the screen grab of the same and wrote that the app is working on the feature that will allow the app to update the post using the edited version. However, the details regarding the time window to let people edit their posts are still unknown.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp will roll out the online status hide feature so users can choose who can see their online active status soon. The new feature allows users to prevent others from viewing their online active status. Currently it is available for Android beta users. According to the report, WhatsApp users can easily check whether they can access this new feature or not by going to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy and then “Last seen and online”. If the “Last seen and online” option is present, it means that you can use it and prevent unwanted WhatsApp contacts from viewing your online active status. When you’re done, your online presence will only be shared with people who can already see your last seen. Like WhatsApp status, you have three options to choose from – the first is Everyone, the second is My Contacts and the third is “Nobody”.
