London Film Festival 2022 Reveals Full Lineup – News Kidda

The 2022 BFI London Film Festival has revealed its full lineup.

Among the new titles added to the program are some big hitters who have already bowed in Cannes or are about to have their world premiere in Venice.

Park Chan-wook Best Director Winner at Cannes Decide to leave is among the newly announced films to have a special gala screening, just like Noah Baumbach’s white noise (which opened Venice Wednesday night), Maria Schrader’s She saidFlorian Zeller’s the Son, Darren Aronofsky’s The whaleChinonye Chukwu’ UntilMartin McDonagh’s The Banshees of InisherinSebastian Lelios The miracle and Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Bardo, false chronicle of a handful of truths.

Meanwhile, special presentations will be given to Ali Abbasi’s Holy SpiderMichael Grandage’s my police officerSally El Hoseini’s TIFF Opener the swimmersRuben Ostlund’s Palme d’Or winner Triangle of sadnessJoanna Hogg’s The Eternal DaughterRichard Eyre’s Alan Bennett Edit allelujahLila Naugebauer’s CausewayPatricio Guzman’s My imaginary countryNikyatu Jusu’s BabysitSarah Polley’s women talkBratton’s Elegance The inspectionAnn Oren’s piaffe and a 4K restoration from Gary Oldman’s Nil by mouth. On the TV side, Hugo Blick’s The Englishstarring Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer, will be screened.

The new additions join an already vibrant lineup that includes the official competition roster, curtain opener Mathilda the Musical by Roald Dahl and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery by Rian Johnson, closing the festival.

The BFI London Film Festival runs from October 5-16
