‘Let’s Keep Cricket Free From Personal Attacks’: Sachin Tendulkar Backs Arshdeep Singh After Crucial Dropped Catch In Match vs Pakistan

Former India captain and battle legend Sachin Tendulkar

Young pacesetter Arshdeep Singh has been subject to much trolling on social media after India’s loss to Pakistan in the Asian Cup Super 4 encounter. The youngster dropped a catch from batter Asif Ali in the 18th, which turned out to be a costly error, as the big batter sealed the game for Pakistan in the 19th over.

Several former Indian cricketers have supported Arshdeep since the incident and even Virat Kohli backed Arshdeep saying that anyone can make a mistake like this.

Now, former Indian great Sachin Tendulkar has tweeted in support of Arshdeep, asking fans not to indulge in personal attacks.

“Every athlete representing the country is doing their best and always playing for the nation. They need our constant support and remember that in sport you win some and you lose some. Let’s keep cricket or any other sport free from personal attacks. @arshdeepsinghh keep working hard…” Sachin tweeted.

Even former Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeez asked fans to troll Arshdeep, saying cricketers are people and can make mistakes.

India will face Sri Lanka in a crunch match in the Asia Cup Super 4 stage on Tuesday.
