CHENNAI: Star Spinner Kuldeep Yadav scored a hat-trick against New Zealand A on Sunday and all thanks to their incredible play, India-A eliminated the Kiwis for just 219 points.
Yadav pocketed the wickets of Logan van Beek, Joe Walker and Jacob Dufy in the 47th round of the innings. In the match, Yadav chose a four-wicket run while scoring a hat-trick. Kuldeep scored a hat-trick in the 47th inning.
First, he brought out Logan van Beek caught by Prithvi Shaw on the fourth ball. Then at the next ball, Kuldeep also walked Joe Walker. Walker’s catch was captured by Captain Sanju Samson. On the final ball, Kuldeep completed a hat-trick by lbw to Jacob Duffy. Kuldeep took four wickets for 51 runs in 10 overs.
Even though Yadav gave his best performance against New Zealand A, the ‘Chinese’ didn’t secure a spot in India’s T20 World Cup squad.
For New Zealand A, Rachin Ravindra had 61 runs on 65 balls while Joe Carter had 72 runs on 80 balls.
The ‘Chinese’ won 182 wickets in seven Tests, 69 ODI and 26 T20I for India. He played the last game for India in the Zimbabwe tour.
The spinner scored a hat trick twice at the One Day Open. In 2017, Kuldeep scored a hat-trick against Australia in Kolkata. After that, in 2019, he also achieved this feat against West Indies.
