John Abraham-Arjun Kapoor starrer scores Rs 22 crore

John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani starrer ‘Ek Villain Returns’ seems to have struck a chord with the audience. The film scored a positive trend on Sunday, registering a 20 percent jump from Saturday. ‘Ek Villain Returns’ added Rs 8 crore net to the total, bringing the first week’s collection to Rs 22 crore net, Boxofficeindia reports. After a flat collection on Saturday, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ was able to record a good response in several circuits on Sunday.

‘Ek Villain Returns’ has taken the most business from the UP circuit, followed by the markets of Gujarat and Bihar. It remains to be seen how the film sails through the weekdays. Interestingly, the weekend activities of ‘Ek Villain Returns’ have surpassed the longevity of major releases like ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Attack’, ‘Jersey’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. Directed by Mohit Suri, this film is a sequel to the 2014 thriller ‘Ek Villain’.

Arjun Kapoor’s character in ‘Ek Villain Returns’ has a ton of tattoos and the actor had written a note on the same social media. Arjun shared a glimpse of his tattooed body, writing: “I got to wear such insane tattoos that define my character and personality in the movie.
