iPhone 14 Pro Features Hidden Switch to Enable Black and White Always-on Display Mode: Report

iPhone 14 Pro reportedly has a hidden switch to enable the black and white always-on display mode. The way to get the black and white mode is to use a long-standing focus mode setting called the Dim Lock screen. This setting makes the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max completely dark in always-on mode. A recent report had indicated that demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max has apparently increased in recent days, and Apple has asked Foxconn to ramp up production of the Pro models.

According to a recent report by 9To5Mac, the iPhone 14 Pro has a hidden switch that allows users to enable the always-on black and white display.

As mentioned, the always-on mode in black and white can be enabled using a long-standing focus mode setting, the Dim Lock screen. This setting could make the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max completely dark in always-on mode.

To enable the mode, users can go to: Settings > Focus > Options > Enable Dim Lock Screen. The Dim Lock screen is set in motion when entering focus mode. This will change the lock screen to a black and white display when the iPhone 14 Pro enters the always-on display mode.

As a reminder, a recent report had indicated that demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max has apparently increased in recent days, and Apple has asked Foxconn to ramp up production of the Pro models. The Cupertino-based company has asked to switch production lines from the iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The development comes about a week after reports indicated that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max appear to be in better demand compared to the non-Pro models.
