Indian batter Virat Kohli ended his century-long drought and reached the three-figure mark against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup Super 4 game in Dubai. Kohli hit an unbeaten 122 of 61, the highest score by a batter in T20Is for India, while India recorded a massive 212/2. This was Kohli’s 71st century in international, and his first since November 2019. When Kohli scored his first T20I century, people from all walks of life took to Twitter to greet the 33-year-old batter.

Notably, Kohli’s last century (136 not out) came against Bangladesh in the pink ball Test at the Eden Gardens in November 2019.
