The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced India’s 15-man roster for the Women’s Asia Cup, which starts in Bangladesh on October 1. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team, while Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy. Jemimah Rodrigues, who missed the Indian tour of England with an injury, returns for the major continental tournament. Richa Ghosh has been chosen to keep wickets while Renuka Singh, Meghna Singh and Pooja Vastrakar will lead the pace attack.
India also named two standby players in Taniya Bhatia and Simran Dil Bahadur.
