HYDERABAD: reigning Indian Super League ISL champions Hyderabad FC signed the Spanish midfielder on Friday Borja Herrera before the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old joins the club for a year.
“This is a very good opportunity for me. Hyderabad FC are a great project with great fans and are current champions. I am looking forward to this new challenge,” Herrera said in a statement.
Herrera started his career at the Canary Islands academy. He was part of the Anexo Del Estadio Gran Canaria team while he was head coach Manolo Marquezit’s time.
He was effective in all domestic leagues in Spain and also spent a season in Israel with Maccabi Netanya.
“Borja (Herrera) is a complete and technically gifted player. From central defender to central midfielder, from box-to-box to winger, he is an effective option in the team”, said HFCs Coach Marquez.
