The preliminary investigation by the Haryana Civil Services (Executive) and Allied Services went smoothly today amid tight security arrangements at all exam centers in Panchkula.
Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik and Deputy Commissioner of Police Surinder Pal Singh inspected the examination centers and took stock of the arrangements made to ensure that the examination is conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
The administration provided CCTV cameras, jammers, checkpoints and other necessary security features at the exam centers.
Mahavir Kaushik said he met officials before the investigation to review the arrangements for the successful conduct of the investigation. He said the study was conducted in two phases at 48 centers in Panchkula, Kalka and Pinjore from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m.
In order to conduct the investigation in a fair and transparent manner, eight Air Force officers/watch magistrates, station officers of paper distribution and other relevant personnel have been appointed.
‘There should be special centers’
Otherwise skilled candidates who appeared for the Haryana Civil Services and Allied Services Exam said the HPSC should have set up special exam centers near their residence. The candidates said they had to reach the city a day earlier because they had to travel more than 8 hours.
