Hanuma Vihari to lead Rest of India against Ranji champions in Irani Cup | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Prolific drummer Hanuma Vihari will lead the Rest of India team against 2019-20 Ranji Trophy Saurashtra champions in the Iran Cup clash, which returns to the calendar after three years.
BCCI has announced a 15-man squad for the red ball tournament, to be held in Rajkot from October 1-5.
The Iranian Cup could not be played in the previous two seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team has a good batting unit with talented red ball specialist Mayank Agarwal and youngster Priyank Panchal, who recently captained India A against New Zealand A and was also part of the zone team west who won the Duleep Trophy.
The team also has talented youngsters in Yash Dhull and Yashaswi Jaiswal, who scored a double cent at the Duleep Trophy in the West Zone led by Ajinkya Rahane.
Emerging fast pitcher Umran Malik and hitter Sarfaraaz Khan are also part of the ROI team.
Test hitter Cheteshwar Pujara is likely to appear for Saurashtra in the game.
