NEW DELHI: World football governing body FIFA has released a three-part series on the life and career of the talismanic captain of the Indian football team Sunil Chhetri in recognition of his goalscoring accomplishments and exploits.
FIFA has announced that all three episodes are available on FIFA+, its streaming platform.
“You know all about Ronaldo and Messi, now find out the definitive story of the third highest performing active men’s international. Sunil Chhetri | Captain Fantastic is now available on FIFA+,” FIFA tweeted from its World Cup handle.
Chhetri, 38, is third in the list of active footballers with the most international goals with 84 strikes to his name, behind Cristiano Ronaldo (117) and Lionel Messi (90).

The second episode was about Chhetri starting to do wonders for the national team, his big dream of playing professional football for a top-notch foreign club.
In the third episode, Chhetri reaches the zenith of her professional career and her personal life. Trophies piled up and records were broken.
Chhetri made his debut for India in 2005 and has since made 131 appearances, including the one against Vietnam on Tuesday.
