BASSETERRE: West Indies Cricket (CWI) announced a revised start time for the third T20 International between India and West Indies on Tuesday due to the late arrival of the second match, which was delayed twice due to baggage issues.
The third T20I was scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. local time (8:00 p.m. IST) but has now been pushed back an hour and a half to 12:00 p.m. local time (9:30 p.m. IST).
The CWI said the revised schedule was put together keeping in mind adequate rest and recovery time for players from both teams and also taking into account that the last two consecutive games will be played in Florida. , in the USA.
“Following Monday’s delayed start, the teams have agreed to start Match 3 of the Goldmedal T20 Cup at a later date to ensure players receive sufficient rest and recover time for back-to-back matches in St. Kitts and considering back-to-back games to come in Florida,” the CWI said in a statement.
In fact, CWI’s statement also clarifies that the final two games will indeed be held in Florida, despite several reports that the games may be moved out of the US state due to visa issues.
