BIRMINGHAM (UK): Vijay Kumar Yadav won a bronze medal at judo men – 60 kg final at the Commonwealth Games 2022 In Monday.
With the victory, Yadav handed India their eighth medal at Birmingham 2022.

Vijay Kumar pocketed a waza-ari after just 5 seconds from the bell and held on to land the ippon to win the bronze medal in the men’s 60kg judo event. The match lasted almost 58 seconds.

Vijay Kumar made quick work of Petros Christodoulides in the first minute of the bronze medal match to earn a medal for India.
Earlier, India’s Vijay Kumar Yadav beat Scotland’s Dylon Munro to enter the bronze medal match. The same day, Shushila Devi Likmabam clinched a silver medal in the women’s 48kg judo final, giving India their seventh medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Monday.
