CUET-UG Results Explained: Key Points

NEW DELHI: The National testing agency (NTA) announced the result for Common Universities Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) on Friday morning.
The exam was administered for admission to 91 universities across the country.

Here’s everything you need to know:

  1. The debut edition of CUET-UG, a gateway for student admission, started in July and ended on August 30.
  2. According to the original plan, all phases of the CUET-UG were to be completed by August 20. However, the exam was further postponed and split into six stages to accommodate students whose exam was rescheduled due to various issues that marred the test.
  3. With 14.9 lakh registrations, the CUET is now the second largest entrance exam in the country, surpassing JEE-Main’s average registration of nine lakh. NEET-UG is the largest admission test in India with an average of 18 lakh registrations.
  4. In India, the survey was conducted in 444 centers of 239 cities. Except in India, the exam was held in Muscat, Riyadh, DubaiManama, Doha, Kathmandu, Sharjah, Singapore and Kuwait, among others.
  5. The admissions in all central universities, including DU, are done on the basis of the CUET UG score.
  6. Jamia Millia Islamia has also decided to implement CUET UG results for admission in selected graduate courses of the current academic session.
