The highly anticipated film ‘Brahmastra’ by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally hit the big screens today, September 9. is immense. Judging by the box office trends, it seems that ‘Brahmastra’ has managed to attract a fair number of loyal viewers who are all up for the extravaganza.

The pre-bookings for the film were quite a surprise and like the rest of the country, including in West Bengal, the fan frenzy is indeed getting distributors excited about the film business and why not! Much depends on the film directed by Ayan Mukherji. The box office numbers may open new doors for Hindi Cinema or the road to get back will be tougher. Even Ranbir Kapoor’s film has left ‘RRR’ in this regard. Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ reportedly had 547 opening shows in Bengal. Meanwhile, last year the number of opening screens for ‘Pushpa’ in Bengal was 540.

In addition to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. The film has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada theaters. Made on a massive budget of nearly 450 crores, ‘Brahmastra’ promises a new genre for the Hindi film industry with some never-before-seen visual effects in store.
