Australia to beat New Zealand by 25 runs in the third one-day international on Sunday to complete a 3-0 series sweep and give captain Aaron Finch a winning farewell in his final 50-over appearance.
Steve Smith made 105, his 12th century ODI, to help Australia overcome a slow start and post a competitive 267-5 on a slow track in Cairns.
New Zealand had 242 in response before being knocked out entirely in 49.5 overs.

“It was a fun run, as I said yesterday. I loved every bit of it,” said Finch, who will go on to lead Australia in Twenty20 games.
“Sitting around a beer with your mates in the locker room after winning a game or series is the thing I miss the most, but we’ll definitely enjoy tonight.”

At bat, Australia fell to 16-2 in the sixth after losing the first two games.
After winning the Chappell–Hadlee Trophy with a game to spare, Australia rested David Warner for the dead rubber.
Josh Inglis couldn’t capitalize on the chance and scored 10 before Trent Boult caught him.
Finch made five in his 146th ODI before being beaten by Tim Southee, finished his one-day career with 5,406 carries including 17 hundreds at an average of 38.89.
Smith added 118 runs with Marnus Labuschagne (52) to stabilize the innings and another 63 in record time with Alex Carey to bring Australia back into the competition.
Smith hit 11 fours and a six before falling to Mitchell Santner in the 45th tries to accelerate after taking Australia past the 200 mark.
Carey’s undefeated 42 was peppered with unorthodox shots and Cameron Green hit two sixes in his unbeaten 25.
New Zealand got off to a good start in their pursuit but Smith took a low hold to fire Devon Conway (21) and break the first stand.
Finn Allen had a windy 35 but New Zealand fell to 112-5 after skipper Kane Williamson (27) was knocked out in the 28th.
Cameos from Jimmy Neesham (36), Glenn Phillips (47) and Mitchell Santner (30) got them back in the game before Mitchell Starc took New Zealand’s last two wickets on successive deliveries to seal victory for the hosts.
