BIRMINGHAM (Reuters) – George Miller, 75, eight months old, became the oldest player to win a Commonwealth Games medal on Friday when he won gold in mixed pairs bowls for Scotland.
The team, leader Melanie Innesits director Miller and skip director Sarah Jeannescripted Scotland’s 16-9 win over Wales to claim gold in the B2/B3 mixed para pairs at Victoria Park here.

“Bocce is easy enough for older people, but any sport, walking, football, rugby etc, get outside, exercise, play games. Competition is great no matter what. either your age,” he said.
